Lee Murray, former MMA fighter and one time UFC competitor, has been in in prison in Morocco since being convicted of the 2006 £53m Securitas bank robbery in Kent, UK, in June of 2010. Initially sentenced to ten years in prison for being named as the "mastermind" of the February 2006 robbery, Murray's sentence has been increased to 25 years, according to a report from the BBC. Murray had initially fled to Morocco, but he was arrested in the country and held in jail until 2009. After his claim to be a citizen of Morocco was upheld, ensuring no extradition to the UK, he was released from prison for a day before being arrested once again to be tried in Moroccan court for the robbery.
