Edwin Figueroa vs. Jason Reinhardt set for August's UFC on Versus 5 event

A bantamweight affair between Edwin Figueroa and Jason Reinhardt is the latest addition to August's UFC on Versus 5 event.

UFC officials announced the new bout overnight.

"Jason Reinhardt and Edwin Figueroa have verbally agreed to face each other in a bantamweight bout, Aug. 14 in Milwaukee," UFC president Dana White stated. "With 20 wins, Reinhardt has never gone the distance, and Figueroa is coming off a sensational 'Fight of The Night' performance against Michael McDonald."

UFC 131 card shaken up as Jon Olav Einemo now meets Dave "PeeWee" Herman, Joey Beltran gets debuting Aaron Rosa

With Brock Lesnar being forced out of UFC 131 with the reemergence of his diverticulitis, and Shane Carwin stepping in to face Junior Dos Santos, the card has received some more changes.

The UFC announced Friday afternoon that Carwin's originally scheduled opponent, Jon Olav Einemo, will now meet fellow UFC newcomer Dave "PeeWee" Herman. As Herman was also scheduled to fight on the card, his original opponent Joey Beltran will now meet newcomer Aaron Rosa at the June 11 event.

Einemo brings a 7-1 record into his UFC debut, but he's fought just once since 2006. His lone loss came against Fabricio Werdum in Pride, but all of his wins have come by stoppage.

Herman brings a 20-2 record with him into his UFC debut, and is on a two fight winning streak into this debut. Of his 20 career wins, all but one have come by submission or T(KO).

Rosa makes his UFC debut off a four fight win streak and wins in six of his last seven fights. Most recently, Rosa defeated TUF 10 veteran Abe Wagner in a Titan Fighting Championships event on HDNet in March.

UFC 131 is now headlined by the bout between Carwin and Dos Santos, and airs live on pay-per-view from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Penick's Analysis: These are two good fights after the Carwin stepped out of the Einemo fight for the Dos Santos main event. Herman-Einemo should be a really good matchup, and it's fight more suited to a debuting fighter like Einemo than facing a former title challenger. Beltran-Rosa should be another competitive one as well, and gives Rosa a chance to show just what he's got against a guy with a few UFC fights under his belt. Beltran desperately needs a win, though, and that should make for a good fight on this preliminary card.
